Hotel Casa Eduardo Martinez

It was a comfortable inn in a small town that always had wind. The grounds were spacious and it was easy to park. The rooms were large and the water was hot if you waited a little longer. The front desk staff were friendly and helped even if you didn’t understand the language. Because there was a pool, the towels were made of a material that soaks up water quickly.

The staff were friendly, the facilities are basic but adequate for rest, and the place is very quiet with no noise; overall Santiago Matatlan is peaceful and beautiful. The only issue was that we couldn’t connect to the internet and the TV only had one channel.

Nothing positive! 1) Insects in the bed. 2) No furniture—just a bed, no chair or table, nada. 3) No soap, shampoo—only bathroom paper. 4) One power outlet, far from the bed. 5) Extremely noisy: roosters, a neighbor with an alarm at 3:00 and 3:30 that wouldn’t turn off for 20 minutes, plus constant road noise all night. 6) Bathroom without a door or ceiling; just a low wall that doesn’t reach the roof, so all the steam goes straight to the bed. 7) No air conditioning or fan. 8) Lots of light entering the room. 9) Toilet without a seat or lid—basic and incomplete, just camp out!
