“Me gustaría volver pronto”

I was traveling solo and the host made it feel very comfortable. A few days before arrival, Caron reached out via WhatsApp and offered to meet me at the taxi drop‑off point. She guided me through some wonderfully labyrinthine streets to the Riad, explained everything clearly, and served me mint tea with cookies. The Riad is tiny, only 5 rooms, which makes it feel magical. I slept on the upper floor and was very content. At night I would go up to the rooftop to read a bit at sunset. There’s a very friendly cat in the Riad and another street cat that almost lives there, constantly begging for affection from guests. Breakfast is delicious, and both Berge and the other staff member are incredibly kind. The Riad sits inside the Medina but a bit outside the main tourist area, so you can see real local life.

Salek and Christian welcomed us with remarkable kindness, always listening, attentive, responsive, and simply wonderful! The room was a gem; we had hoped for it and got it! Breakfast was excellent and varied.
