We picked Amritara Chandra Mahal Haveli for its quiet rural setting and classic charm, and the village walk is a must-do. The historic feel is undeniable, though a facelift would help. The staff worked hard to make our stay pleasant, and the guided walk with Phoolsingh was the highlight—he answered every question about local life. That alone makes me recommend it. Minor irritations included no hot water, hard to find a socket for the kettle, and the fridge was hidden in a cupboard blocked by furniture. The window drapes forced a choice between full privacy or natural light; a sheer curtain would improve things.
