We loved the location and had a very comfortable stay with very friendly, helpful staff. The place always smelled nice too! Nothing else to note.

When we booked the hotel we just wanted a place to sleep, but when we arrived we were blown away by what a fantastic hotel we had booked. After a few minutes in the room we both decided that if we ever went back to Dublin we’d stay at The Alex! Its immediate proximity to the city centre means you can see a lot on foot in a short time… you can choose. The staff are extremely friendly, solution‑oriented, and well… that makes a big difference to the holiday when you’re annoyed by little things in the hotel, which here is NOT the case. Highly recommended. The only negative was that we couldn’t stay longer.

The hotel is beautiful, the beds are comfy, the location is excellent, and the breakfast was great.
