The location in town is decent, but we didn’t actually stay because the mattress was terrible and the bathroom was damp. After the 10 mile national time trial race the next day, I booked a last‑minute room at the Travelodge down the road, and I also disliked having to use the fire exit to get in and out of the building.

Nothing about this pub is worth keeping; it’s the worst place I’ve ever been to, a truly awful experience that’s absolutely not good. If it were the last pub in the world, I’d say it’s a dump—just like home.

The staff were fine and the beds were comfortable, but there was no complimentary tea or coffee and no bottled water.

Everything was clean and the pub staff were friendly, and I couldn’t find anything to criticize.

The spot is convenient because my sister lives on Broadway Dunscroft, the lady behind the bar was very nice, and the room was okay; we plan to stay here regularly to visit our sister, but the rooms need to be warmer. There was no heating in the room, the radiators were freezing and didn’t stay on the whole time we were there; we were told there would be a continental breakfast but there was nothing at all, and the fridge was open and empty. We’ll book this place every few weeks, but the room must be warmer.
