The property was gorgeous, everyone was welcoming, and the breakfast was tasty! We only stayed one night, but we’d love to come back for a longer visit.

The mansion sits on a hill off a long driveway, so it’s very quiet, yet only a mile from town and several great restaurants. The historic building is a gem with modern comforts. It was decorated for Christmas with garlands, festive lights, and giant nutcrackers at the entrance. I’d love to see a post lamp with a decorative bulb and scones by the front door with “flicker” bulbs to mimic flaming candles—just the finishing touch this palace deserves.

The old estate, rich with Civil War history, has been lovingly restored by its new owners. The owners and staff were kind and attentive, breakfast was wonderful, and they even have baby goats!
