Nice location and nice place, right in the heart of Salcombe with wonderful views. The “glimpse” room is misnamed; it’s actually wonderful – step onto your balcony and you’ll see boatsmageddon. Fabulous. Dinner on night 1 was a mixed experience: mine was great, my partner’s wasn’t and it took ages; there was a wedding so their attention seemed elsewhere. Plenty of old regulars had the staff’s attention with their shaggy dog stories while we waited. They did give us a discount on the bill, which was nice, but we ate elsewhere in Salcombe for the rest of the week.
