I stayed at the art discovery in Gero. I arrived late, but when I called, they said “no rush, come as you please,” which made me feel at ease. Since we were the only group, I could use the kitchen freely; the restaurants in Gero Onsen were full, so we cooked Hida beef and ayu from local shops and ate it at the inn, which was great. The quiet morning walk around the inn and the homemade breakfast made of local ingredients were healthy and delicious. Even a short stay let me experience rural life, so it was a wonderful one‑night trip that turned into an artistic journey thanks to the inn.
