“Canceled, wrongly charged, ruined plans, do not stay here.”
We’d stayed in a floating cabin here last year and wanted to return in a house because we liked the proximity to the islands’ plans. The property was a disaster: the landscaping—or lack of it—blocked the walkway to the stairs and you had to push leaves aside to get through. The front‑porch stools were rotted and unusable. Inside we were met with a loud window‑unit A/C, a living‑room/kitchen ceiling that literally was falling in, and a stove that only half worked. Kitchen drawers were crawling with roaches. We asked the office to move us, but they had no other land cottage until the next day and we didn’t want to unpack, repack, and unpack again. I don’t know if the other units were any better. The man at the office said this was the only building that survived Hurricane Irma in 2017. The view was of a construction site, supplies, and a dumpster. They charged my credit card in full on September 3rd, though our stay wasn’t until the 12th. We cancelled and should have received a refund per their policy, but as of October 4th we still haven’t. Now we’re paying full price plus interest for a place we didn’t stay. Basically, it’s a dump run by thieves. They haven’t answered any of my calls or messages. I filed a complaint and got no response. Beware! We had events scheduled for our vacation that all had to be cancelled because we had to find a different place on another island. This was a horrible experience for a returning customer.
