The place is very pretty, right in the middle of nature, even though the road is dirt; GPS (Waze or Google Maps) makes it easy to get there. Breakfast is hearty. There are dogs on the property, they’re big but all very friendly, only a bit startled at first. The bed has a thermal sheet, which really helps with extra warmth when lying down. Because it’s so secluded, expect at least a 40‑minute drive to Monte Verde’s centre. The chalet’s wood might have a distinct damp smell, which is normal, just a heads‑up so you’re not surprised.
