This review is factually incorrect. Because of an overbooking, I was asked to go to Kasteel Elsloo, but that inconvenience was more than compensated by the manager at Kasteel Limbricht’s handling and the nice room offered in Elsloo at the same price. Both hotels apparently belong to the same chain, so compliments to both Limbricht and Elsloo.

The location, the staff, dinner, and breakfast were good. The ‘bathroom’: an extremely large tub that a small family can fit in at the same time, no shower, and no way to shower in the tub, plus a toilet without a door. If you’re at a certain age, this is no longer comfortable.

The place is gorgeous and the room was pretty. The bed, however, was a bit hard.

Check‑in was relaxed and the staff were friendly. The Lavendel room was large and fully equipped, though it wasn’t in the little castle itself but next to it. Everything else was fine.

The hotel was newly cleaned. Unfortunately, the room turned out to be outside the castle, which was disappointing if you expected to stay inside a castle, and the bistro food didn’t live up to expectations.
