Breakfast was good, featuring fruit juices, yoghurt, pastries, toast, and a Guernsey‑style cooked breakfast, all served with good humour and a smile. La Michele is a small private hotel with a pleasant secluded garden and swimming pool, located in a quiet pretty lane near the village of Saint Martin, with an easy link to Saint Peter Port. The bedrooms were comfortable, and the bar lounge and dining room were spacious and tastefully furnished. Our host, Celeste, was unfailingly attentive and obliging throughout, and she was informative about Guernsey. There wasn’t a single problem for us.

Great and fast breakfast, quick taxi arrangements, key access late in the evening, polite staff, friendly other guests, bike rental available with racks, plenty of parking; the shower was good but a bit too warm for me.
