The place didn't match what we expected or paid for, and there was no mirror so we couldn't get ready in the room; it smelled odd, so we won't return. I didn't like anything; the layout was strange and it felt uncomfortable. I almost booked another hotel, but since it was a short stay I decided to try to sleep and drive straight home instead.

“Wonderful holiday but felt very awkward in the accommodation”

We had plenty of towels and the bed was comfortable, but we had to ring the doorbell to get in—what if no one answered? A couple living in one of the rooms didn't speak English, and the landlord gave little pre‑arrival info, so we didn't know what was allowed. We discovered the couple lived there and the woman was rude, ignored my questions, and said very little. There was no soap in the toilet and only one roll for three nights. The main shower head didn't work. Every time the front door opened a chime played, even at 10:30 pm. The room advertised a garden view, but there was none. It claimed a TV, yet our room had none. The room we stayed in wasn't in the advert, so we were misled. While moving items from the car we were told to lock the front door, but the resident insisted she show us how in the rain, forcing us outside. Walls were thin; a couple stayed the first night and we could hear their TV all night. After they left, the room was left open and uncleaned, with takeaway rubbish, dust, cobwebs, and sticky residue on the bed frame. No mirror in the bedroom, no regular plug socket in the bathroom, so no hair styling or dryer. No fan in a very hot room. The front door was hard to open and close. Shoes weren't allowed inside. The landlord gave us a different check‑in time than she had said, and told us we could use the top two fridge spots, but when another couple checked in they were told they could use one of the top shelves.

“Don’t miss this little gem.”

It was so smart and with lovely decor and the bed was so comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and sweet. There were no issues at all
