The place sits right on the lake and is kept in tip‑top shape. Every facility is top‑notch and the owners are genuinely friendly. I left feeling relaxed and happy with the whole experience.
“Exactly the retreat we wanted”
This retreat spot on the lake is brilliant—everything is set up beautifully, even a picnic basket, and it matches the photos exactly. The only downside is the local Chinese takeaway, which is super salty. Otherwise, the property is perfect.
The view from the back is absolutely gorgeous—just a highlight of the stay.

Stayed in a lovely lakeside cabin that was fully equipped and spotless. The only hiccups were the cold December nights that could use extra blankets, and the shower floor is a bit slippery—non‑slip treads would help. The setting is peaceful and I’ll definitely come back.
A nice, clean spot to unwind, the owner was a great guy and they even left wine in the room when we arrived. We didn’t stay the full two nights, but the setup was solid and the nearby pub about ten miles south has great food. The place is quiet, you can watch ducks in the morning, feed them from the back, and there’s a BBQ outside—self‑contained and hassle‑free. I’d definitely go back.
