The staff were super nice, helpful, and friendly. The location was very close to the main gondola, and the full kitchen was available for use. The bed was very comfortable and the architecture was cool. The downside is that if your room doesn’t have a bathroom, you’ll have to climb many steps to reach one.

Breakfast was fantastic, the staff spoke both languages and were very accommodating with great attitudes; you can’t go wrong with the gondola just a 4‑minute walk away across the road. It was nice to be on the quiet end of town at the top in the evenings, past the nightlife. Walking up from town is good cardio, or we could walk down, shop, and before 5 pm hop on the free village shuttle back up to the top where the accommodation is.

The hotel's location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the action. However, the communal onsen for showering and washing was a bit of a letdown, especially considering the otherwise high standards of the hotel.

The food and service were top-notch, with staff going out of their way to be friendly and helpful. However, as a solo traveler, I felt a bit out of place, especially since the hotel seems to cater to sports teams and alumni. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but it might not be the best fit for everyone.
