“Nossa experiência na Pousada Velho Chico foi simplesmente excelente!”
We had a fantastic stay at Pousada Velho Chico. From the moment we arrived the staff made us feel right at home, and the breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The rustic setting, calm atmosphere, and the breathtaking lookout made it a perfect escape into nature. Definitely coming back and highly recommend for anyone craving peace in Serra da Canastra.

Breakfast is homemade, with fresh Canastra cheese straight from the farm, and the owners are genuinely attentive. The chalets are spaced out for privacy, though the Diamond unit is a bit farther from the kitchen, so you need to drive for breakfast, which isn’t a big hassle. The adjacent Bistrô Canastra serves solid meals, and we dined there every night.

The lodge is in a great spot, family‑friendly, and the chalets are cozy and fully equipped—felt like home. The highlight is the Mirante Velho Chico, a 360° view that’s truly stunning, kept tidy by the owner Adriano. Breakfast was fine, though a bit more variety would have been nice.
