The view of the Nile, tasty breakfast, relaxed vibe, and the building’s pretty colours all impressed me, and the value for money was excellent.

The guesthouse delivers solid value for its category, and the staff’s kindness and hospitality truly shine, making guests feel like family. Everything else was great; the only improvement I’d suggest is upgrading the room TVs to newer models.

By the Nile, the décor is lovely and the nearby Nubian restaurant is excellent. However, the hotel sits in the Nubian quarter, which feels a bit removed from the city centre and main sights, and at times it’s hard to catch a taxi; plus the floor wasn’t very clean.
