The place is perfect for kids to get in touch with nature and it’s almost right in front of an animal rehabilitation center. The problem is that it’s far from the city, so travelers have to rely on the local for dinner. The dishes cost between 30 and 40 soles, while an executive menu in Iquitos is 24. Also the portion sizes are very small. Prices should be fairer. Having a pool is a plus, but it wasn’t cleaned daily and had a brown line on the edge—this needs fixing. Air conditioning in the room is another advantage. The bathroom cleaning is inadequate and needs improvement. The dish prices are high, as mentioned. Wi‑Fi frequently failed, which is essential for planning trips and for my work even while on vacation. The local’s tour prices are double what we found elsewhere in Iquitos, so there’s room for improvement and they should be honest about pricing. It would also be nice if the coffee were ground instead of a Kirma sachet.
