“Fabulous gem”

The grounds and lake views are gorgeous, the building and lounge areas are stunning, and the bedroom was very clean and fabulous. We chose the garden suite and it was fantastic—quiet nights and superb sleep. The staff were friendly, attentive, and professional. Just keep in mind that if there’s a wedding, you might not have access to some areas and could feel like a nuisance. The spa was lovely, but the beds were limited and there was no food; we didn’t realize that and ended up not eating all day, so it’s a good idea to eat before you go.

“Excellent staff service.”

The building and rooms are beautifully decorated to a high standard. The TV broke but was fixed by the evening of the second day. One bed was uncomfortable because the mattress protector was creased—probably because it was brand new. It was disappointing that the swimming pool was out of service.

The building looks amazing with plenty of charming touches, beautifully decorated and cozy. But if your room is on an upper level, expect many stairs; the elevator only goes to the first floor, so a lower‑floor room is preferable if you have trouble climbing stairs.
