The staff were nice and the food varied and tasty. However, the hotel is the most expensive and worst I’ve been to in India. The price is for a five‑star hotel, yet it feels like something we wouldn’t even book at a much lower rate. The rooms had a terrible odor (two different rooms both smelled awful). All furniture, linens, and towels were old and dirty; even after replacements, they were still filthy with stains. The doors had to be pushed hard to close, and the windows didn’t seal sound at all – you could hear every noise from the reception, including phones and children shouting late at night and early in the morning. Every day from six in the morning, unclear music from a nearby military base played, making us wake up terribly early. The pool was dirty, the play area looked unmaintained, and the overall vibe was shabby. They charge a very high price because there’s not enough supply, but guests feel stuck with the poor condition. We booked because of a high rating, but the reviews are unreliable. Not recommended at all.
