I liked how close it was to the city center, but the nearby bar gets noisy at night.

Perugia, we stayed in the center! And still not overly loud. 200 m to the Domplatz. A great starting point for exploring the surrounding area (e.g. Assisi). We should have insisted on air conditioning when we were planning.
