“Posizione Super!!”

The location was unbeatable, the building was clean, and it sat right on the beach next to a fantastic bar‑restaurant (Azure restaurant). Eating there gave you free use of the sunbeds with umbrellas all day. For us, after a tough Sri Lanka tour, having everything within a few steps was a bonus. The main road had a market and small shops nearby. The ocean view was a bit blurred by the turtle‑rehabilitation tanks, but that didn’t bother us much because we could see the turtles up close. The guest house is a five‑minute walk from Habaraduwa railway station, which let us schedule our train back to Colombo. Fantastic! The only downside was that to reach the guest house entrance you had to walk through a somewhat dirty and smelly alley.

The air‑conditioned room had a fridge and kettle, both handy. I hardly saw the staff, so as a solo woman traveller I felt isolated; I would have liked help with the cockroaches, but no one was around. Returning after dark felt unwelcoming with no one nearby. The place seemed much nicer and livelier in the photos.

It’s right on the beach, and the owner also runs a turtle hatchery that you can see from the terrace of the room.

The accommodation was great, clean, and beachfront (there’s a turtle‑rehabilitation station right before the beach you can walk through). The host was super friendly and made sure we were happy. The room had a fridge, and we were given beach towels. It had both a fan and an air‑conditioner, plus hot water. The beach had sunbeds available for use during the stay. Overall, we were completely satisfied—thanks a lot!
