The hardware is truly the best around, so rooms are often booked out, but I still hope they improve. Staying here felt like the only option because it’s the only place that fits a normal business hotel, so I had to book it. There’s no smoke smell, and Nantou really meets my taste at the lowest standard. The location is great—walking to shops is easy. The décor fits modern business‑hotel style, and checking out is quick and saves time. The problem is that Nantou has few comparable business hotels; when I’ve stayed in Taipei or Taichung, the sound insulation was better even with similar prices. The window seals feel old or not airtight (my home has airtight windows). At night and early morning, the downstairs chatter is crystal clear, and the constant motorcycle noise is annoying. The next morning, trying to sleep in peace, I hear cleaning noises. Travelers from other counties should bring noise‑cancelling headphones or they’ll be disappointed compared to the photos.
