The location and room were gorgeous, but the real highlight was the staff. We checked in early and they handled everything smoothly. The concierge spent time explaining the gold bricks, helped with directions, a canal cruise, and even some coffee. Nothing else to add.

The spot is great and the staff were excellent, and the bed was comfy. However, every first‑floor room has five stairs, and the bathroom and closet are on the same floor as the bed, desk, and a couple of chairs. Our room was right next to a street loading zone, so the morning noise at 7 am was noticeable. We paid for a canal view, but it’s only visible if you lean out and look far right. There were no drawers, and when we asked the desk, they said “you have a wardrobe” even though there was no space for one. Housekeeping only came once during our three‑night stay after we asked. Breakfast cost 50 € per person per day, but a helpful concierge pointed us to a charming nearby spot.
