The place feels genuinely authentic, a real blessing! You sleep in a 150‑year‑old house with tatami mats and sliding doors, yet enjoy the comfort of a high‑tech toilet with built‑in jets, automatic lid opening and closing, and a nice shower. The futon mats weren’t as hard as I initially thought. The real highlight is the owner’s hospitality and the whole story behind it. Public transport only runs until 5 p.m. and the nearest station is 5 km away; walking takes about 1 h 20 min and a taxi costs 21‑22 Euros.
