Palace Hotel Olive Odore

The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was exceptionally good. The room was spacious with plenty of storage and a pleasant balcony. The cats were well fed and taken good care of. However, the tap and shower water tasted like salty sea water; management explained it was filtered from the sea, safe to use, but the dryness in the region and the end of the season meant the water storage was fully consumed. Brushing teeth with salty water was definitely unpleasant, and warm water wasn’t available 24 hrs. We had to inform management in advance to have it turned on, but that didn’t happen, so we took cold showers midday.

I liked the hotel’s location, the beautiful garden, the interior, and the table layout with sea views. In the bathroom the tap wasn’t working, so we called a specialist who fixed it. Our stay overlapped with Turkish guests who, after 24 hrs, made unimaginable noise and, despite being warned, continued their loud activities. The receptionist on duty didn’t speak English, making communication difficult.

“Nice hotel, all facilities closed”

The outdoor pool was green and unusable, the indoor pool was closed. The sea‑view room had overgrown trees, and the piers were broken down and unusable.
