I lost money because I ran out of cash, and there was no water when I arrived. The toilets were stained, the seat cover had irreparable scratches, and the 6‑bed dorm offered barely enough walking space.

The hostel is very well‑located, just 5 minutes from the Kaligath metro. The neighbourhood is quiet, the staff are very friendly and attentive, and the communal kitchen lets you prepare your own meals. The atmosphere is good, though the mattresses are a bit hard.

The place had cobwebs and some of the staff seemed creepy. There is no in‑house restaurant, only an open kitchen that is always dirty, and the washrooms are likewise unclean.

The location is great, close to the tube, yet the hostel sits in a lovely, quiet neighbourhood away from the main area. The staff are fantastic, and the other guests are friendly, so I made some great friends. It’s the best place to stay in Kolkata.
