The spot was great, parking was a breeze, and the room and the surrounding area stayed spotless. The bathtub looked old, the beds were a bit uncomfortable, and the staircase area had a strong bad smell.

The room was clean, though the walls needed patching and painting. Towels, coffee, and other basics were fine. Paying over $200 a night, I expected someone on site; we tried to light a fire in the pit but no matches or lighter were provided, and the staff called a number that was out of service. The advertised sauna wasn’t available. Breakfast was okay—just bagels and coffee—but no one refilled cereal when it ran out. The ice machine was broken. It could be a nice place if a few staff members were on hand instead of remote calls; that would change the experience.
