“Top locatie”
Monzi Safari lodge is a great base if you want to visit St. Lucia and Imfolozi game park. It's about 20 min from St. Lucia and 50 min from the game park. The lodge sits on a secured estate where we even did a short jog. The accommodation itself was gorgeous. Because it was quiet, we received a free upgrade. The lodge has two bedrooms, a large kitchen with an island, and a private pool. From the high position you can look over the park. I'm not sure if it’s always so peaceful, but there was plenty of calm and privacy this time. There’s also a spa where you can book a massage; we booked a 60‑minute session, which was wonderful and very professional. They come to you “at home.” The service is superb, with Nosipho and her colleagues showing remarkable hospitality. We could contact them via WhatsApp and ask questions; when there were many, she would drop by to explain. Perfect! The cabin was clean and kept tidy daily. You do see some small signs of deferred maintenance here and there, like a bit of mold in the shower tiles and a bathroom door that sticks. But that shouldn't stop you from booking a stay here! If you don't like the mass tourism of St. Lucia, this is a perfect spot for your stay in the region. And the game park is absolutely worth it. We found it even more beautiful than Kruger and much quieter!
