Nomad North Hostel

The staff were genuinely warm and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I especially appreciated that the downstairs bar opened early just to catch the Scotland match – they really thought of the guests. All in all, a pleasant, friendly place to stay.

The hosts are really nice and even offered a 10 % discount on the bar downstairs, which was a nice touch. Unfortunately the rooms are practically a tin can – you can hear traffic, rain on the roof and even the constant beeping of traffic lights, plus the bar below gets loud every evening from 6 pm to 10:30 pm, making sleep impossible without earplugs.

This spot nails the Melbourne location and the host is incredibly friendly. The kitchen is fully stocked, the rooms have been recently renovated and are spotless, and the price feels fair for a short stay. It’s a solid choice if you’re only in town a few nights.

“Perfect Staycation”

The hotel has a really nice vibe and the management seemed to have everything under control. It felt relaxed and well‑run throughout my visit.

The location is convenient and the staff are courteous, always responding quickly, plus there’s a grocery store just around the corner. The room itself was a disappointment – shared bathroom outside the room, very dim and rundown, insects, no air‑conditioning, a hot fan, and a broken bathroom lock that never got fixed despite my complaints, leaving me to use another bathroom.
