The location and pool were good, but the room was run down, two drawers wouldn’t open because the furniture was broken, there were plumbing problems, the elevator didn’t work one morning and I had to climb steps even though I usually walk, and one front‑desk staff member needs to be replaced—when I complained she got mad at me.

We found it was located, but the room wasn’t what I expected: it had bunk beds in a space that felt like a closet with no doors, and the mattress on the bed was torn.

The location is superb—right on the beach and boardwalk, next to a wonderful Pier 14 restaurant, and a short walk to downtown. The staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful, but the property needs a refresh and upgrade; our rooms were clean and functional but show their age, and rooms on the lower floors lost a good portion of the beach and ocean view because of the pier, landscaping, etc.
