The convenience of having a konbini and eateries right nearby was great, and the local izakaya was cheap and tasty. The building only has two floors and no lift, so the stairs are cramped, and getting to rooms farther from the lobby can be a hassle; an extra guest entrance besides the lobby would have been very helpful (you have to circle around the shop upstairs just to reach the convenience store).
