A very pleasant boutique hotel with clean, fresh rooms, comfortable beds and a shower that delivered good hot water and pressure; the location is convenient for the airport and trips south of Kampala, although there are few restaurants nearby and getting into central Kampala is a bit fiddly and time‑consuming.

Staying at Residence 256 was great! We loved the room and enjoyed walking around the compound; a big thanks to Esther who made us feel at home from the start and helped with every request. The compound is worth the stay, but on the day we were there the restaurant was closed for dinner, leaving us with only one food delivery option, which wasn’t the best.
