“Dingy, Dirty, Disappointing”

The pillows were comfortable, yet the hotel looked dingy and dirty, a big let‑down for its downtown price. Walls and doors had heavy scratches, furniture was stained and torn, and even after setting the A/C to 65 the room stayed hot. The unit dripped all night, leaving a large puddle on the carpet, and the bed was uncomfortable with visibly stained sheets.

Everyone was very nice and the place stayed clean, but there were no trash liners in the bins, no microwave, no mini fridge, and the indoor pool was freezing cold. Breakfast cost $16 per person, which felt steep, especially when the total stay was $240 and we thought it could have been better.

I appreciated having coffee in the room, especially with my preferred Keurig pod. However, there was no refrigerator or microwave, which I had expected along with the coffee service and free hot breakfast. When I entered the dining room, I was asked for a voucher, which was confusing since my breakfast was supposedly free.

“Loved it”

The hotel turned out to be nicer and fancier than we imagined. We were initially booked into a room clearly under renovation—desks were moved, spray bottles were scattered, and there was a mildew smell—but the staff upgraded us to a suite at no cost. That made the stay very, very pleasant, with private rooms, double bathrooms, and overall awesome amenities.

“It was fine for the price”

I liked the bed, but the toilet made a loud noise that was annoying.
