The location was fine, but the receptionist couldn’t smile, the room smelled like someone had used the bathroom before we arrived, the bed was uncomfortable, the lift was out of order, and it was very noisy over the pub.

The view of the Murray River was awesome, and the meals at the hotel were excellent. We reported a raw sewage smell when we walked from our room to the front desk around 5.30; the lady at the desk said someone would look at it on Monday. After tea, we returned to our room and had to call reception because the TV wasn’t working and the toilet kept running. An older gentleman working in the bar was very apologetic and moved us to another room.

The hotel was central to everything we needed, and the elevator took us to the first floor; the dining was excellent. However, the wooden dining chairs in the room were falling apart, the bathroom was the smallest we’ve ever seen, the room was okay but next time an upgrade would be needed to enjoy the rest of the facilities, and we had to sit on the bed to watch TV.
