“A bit out of town if you are on a night out in the centre, but great value and worth getting a 15 min taxi”

I couldn’t complain about the price, and the girl who greeted us was pleasant but not overly friendly; the kettle, tea, coffee, and milk were plentiful, and there were plenty of towels, shower gel, soap, and sockets on either side of the bed. The sink in room 30 was blocked, which was just a minor issue and I hope the hotel can fix it; I also had a room without an ensuite where the shower bracket was broken, so I had to hold the hose to shower, but I’m being picky for the price, which is great, and I hope this feedback helps the hotel.

I thought the room was decent, but the bedsheets, pillow cases and duvet were rough against my skin, ruining my sleep. One pillow case even had a stain that was really off‑putting. There was no intercom in the room for easy communication, and the property itself felt very dirty compared to the clean look on the website, which was disappointing. Most frustrating was the hot/cold water setting in the shower – it only produced hot water, so we had to fetch water from the sink tap with a bottle to wash ourselves, which was quite distressing.

“Rotten !”

There was nothing good about the place – the hospitality was rotten. The staff were all weird and offered no hospitality at all. I was expected to use towels for an entire week, and the bed sheets never got cleaned for the whole week. The bed was a kid‑size one with screws half‑hanging out, wobbling constantly, with knackered springs and poo stains all over the duvet – definitely not dog‑friendly. I paid for a week, left one day early, and couldn’t get a refund!
