The place is very well located and very clean. The bed is huge and super comfortable, as are the pillows. The bathroom is very clean. They give you a welcome pack with towels, slippers and a mini sewing kit. There’s a coffee machine with capsules, sugar… The lights didn’t work. In the morning a lot of light leaked into the room because the curtains are not opaque enough. There’s no elevator to reach the rooms.

“OK for one night”

The spot’s location works well for me, and I was after a cozy place to sleep and shower while juggling meetings over two days. The breakfast options nearby were convenient. However, before booking, make sure the owner has addressed the plumbing; there was a noticeable body odor coming from the shower drains and the sink. Fix that and I’ll return next time I’m in Ghent in January.

The location is perfect—right in the city center yet surprisingly quiet. There was no chair or space to unpack luggage, the sink emitted a sewage smell due to poor drainage, the sliding doors to the toilet and shower were inconvenient, and the automatic night light was too dim but would still turn on when you moved your toe. The staff were especially rude on the phone.
