The resort was absolutely fantastic—treehouses that blend into the surroundings, wildlife all around, an impressive pool, and staff who are incredibly friendly and attentive. It’s a perfect spot for families in Belize, and I have no complaints.

In San Ignacio, Vanilla Hills Resort stands out as the best choice. The treehouses are breathtakingly beautiful, crafted from polished hardwood on site, meticulously designed, flawlessly executed, and tastefully furnished with a thoughtful aesthetic. The mirrored bark trim, liana‑wrapped support posts, large, evenly spaced windows that open to a panoramic forest view, and well‑placed lamps all work perfectly. The owner, Claudia, not only offered great ideas for our leisure activities but also enhanced our onward journey with helpful tips. Every recommended excursion left us with wonderful memories. We felt welcomed and cared for. The on‑site restaurant deserves special mention for its creative, surprisingly delicious dishes from breakfast to snacks to dinner. The cocktails were the best of the trip. At the restaurant, hummingbirds flutter by and a nose‑bored bear sniffs a banana, while toucans, woodpeckers, and other animals visit. The pool, which we didn’t really need, turned out to be a real swimming spot. All in all, a little paradise!

An exceptional boutique eco‑lodge in San Ignacio offering luxurious treehouse stays, an infinity pool, a lounge, and a restaurant that serves creative farm‑to‑table meals, wine, cocktails, and cappuccino for breakfast. The staff are extremely attentive, going out of their way to plan tours and attend to every need, making the experience seamless and memorable.
