Hotel Ikon

“Kleines und Zentral gelegenes Hotel.”

I liked the central location, the security, the shared kitchen, the fridge in the room, the luggage storage, and the friendly staff, but the receptionist was very short‑skirted and the room felt a bit chilly.

The spot was great for catching public transport and the staff were helpful, but the elevator was out of order and I had to struggle to bring my bags up to the room.

I had a confirmed booking and arrived on the scheduled check‑in date, yet the hotel told me no rooms were available even though my reservation was confirmed. They offered no real help, no alternative hotel, and no support to find comparable accommodation, so I had to search on my own, causing major inconvenience, stress, and extra costs. Terrible experience.

“They cancelled my stay and haven't returned my money yet.”

The hotel called me after I landed in San Francisco to say they had to cancel my reservation because they were fully booked and the third‑party reservation didn’t show in their system, even though I had a confirmation email. I’ve been trying to get a refund since I never received service, but every time I call they say they need confirmation from Hotel Ikon, whose manager is unavailable. When I first called I was told I’d get my money back in 7‑10 business days, but nothing has arrived and they’ve not responded after two voicemails.

“Will not stay again”

The room was small, the bed was small, there was no air conditioning, and the elevator didn’t work.
