An extremely affordable option in Asahikawa. The staff are friendly and there’s a cute cat. It’s not exactly close to the station, but a 15‑minute walk is fine.

The location was pretty good, not too far from the station and along the main pedestrian street, and it’s also close to major bus routes. My room was a makeshift dorm in the middle of the property, so it had no windows. For airflow, the air conditioner outside blew air in through a DIY plastic funnel system. It worked, but it was pretty half‑hazard and will definitely lead to mould growth if not cleaned thoroughly.
