Walking from the train station takes about 7‑8 minutes, and the two supermarkets are also close. We booked a three‑person room with a bunk bed; the room was quite large and could accommodate all our luggage. The mattress was really soft, and the Wi‑Fi signal was bad, so streaming videos was impossible. Breakfast was included and edible, so overall the value for money was high. We were just early‑morning and late‑evening travelers, so cheap and clean was fine. Getting to Vienna takes about 30 minutes by bus, Salzburg about an hour, and a 20‑minute train to Hallstatt followed by a boat ride. Staying in Vienna a bit longer seemed preferable. The restaurant's utensils looked very dirty—washed but still unclean! I always pick a seemingly clean one and then wash it myself in the bathroom. That was really poor. I think the food that goes into your mouth deserves more attention.

Friendly staff and a superb location with a nearby water stream and a park; breakfast was superb with a nice spread.
