Even though it’s off the beaten track, the location was spectacular.

The breakfast was very good. The house was amazing and the gardens beautiful. It was close to a small stony beach. The miniature pet dogs in the house were adorable. The hosts were very welcoming and interesting to talk to. The view of the oil refinery across the bay was a downside, but we knew about it when we booked. The house is built so you don’t see the refinery, only the bay toward Whangarei.
