I had a terrible experience: I had read positive reviews (who knows how some people live) and decided to stay for a long trip because of that. Luckily it was only one night: the room was basically a basement with no light or air. There are two windows at the top that can be opened with a sash, but they cannot be adjusted. No air conditioning, just a fan… If you want to breathe, the only option is to keep the entrance door open, but since it’s in the countryside there’s a risk of animals coming in, or worse. Upon arrival, despite a large inner courtyard, I was asked to move my car outside, to a very cramped little spot essentially in the middle of the road! The owner’s attitude was awful. It seemed like I had come to bother him. He couldn’t point me to any restaurants or trattorias nearby (I found a great one on my own), but he did prepare a receipt adding 4 euros more than what was listed on Booking, which he promptly refunded. The final insult was the broken sign in the bathroom that tells unlucky guests to use the facilities civilly.
