Good location and attentive staff, and the breakfast was the best I've ever had in a hotel, but it was extremely expensive; I stay in many capital cities worldwide where hotels command a premium, yet this one cannot justify its room rate.

The hotel is lovely, right in the middle of town and ideal for a 2‑3 night stay in Thimphu; the cultural performance was excellent, as was the on‑site Buddhist temple and monk, and we also visited the sister hotel in Punakha, which was even more spectacular, so I would highly recommend spending a few nights at this property.
