The host was friendly and offered a breakfast for just $3. The room was clean. However, the exterior shown in the photos isn’t what you actually see; it feels neglected, with furniture and objects scattered everywhere as if someone has been gathering stuff and no one cleans up.

The place was close to the beach, which is great for surfers. The room was tidy and there’s a nice restaurant right next door. There’s a shared lounge where you can watch TV or eat instant noodles sold at the door, and you can brew instant coffee or tea. A friendly cat greets you outside. The shower takes a while to heat up and the facilities are basic, so don’t expect luxury. The garden could use more upkeep, and the walls are thin, so I could hear people in the next room talking.

I really enjoyed my stay: the hospitality was warm, the room was cozy, the Japanese breakfast was delicious, and the coffee was free. It’s close to the beach and easy to reach by bus—about 50 minutes to the bus stop, then a 1.4 km walk.

The owner was incredibly kind and lent me his electric bike so I could cycle to get a charger. Nothing else to note.
