We stayed at Masseria del Ponte for seven days during the last week of August and just left with a touch of melancholy. The property is truly spectacular: a modern, well‑maintained house with beautiful windows, perfectly blended with stone and surrounding nature. The rooms are immaculate, welcoming, and fully equipped. A wonderful forest surrounds everything, offering tranquility, silence, and a truly special atmosphere. We chose this place mainly because it’s pet‑friendly and proved perfect for traveling with our dog. The large, fully fenced garden allowed our Labrador to move and play safely, with no time restrictions. She had a great time, and we’re sure she’ll miss those days in nature as much as we’ll miss them! Pretoro is also an excellent base for visiting the Maiella National Park, reaching waterfalls, rivers, lakes, parks, and numerous trekking trails. Masseria del Ponte is close to the delightful town of Guardiagrele, a lively and pleasant place with interesting spots and very nice restaurants, where we returned almost every evening. A special mention goes to Sara, who runs the Masseria with rare availability, kindness, and attention. She and her boyfriend are wonderful people, always present and ready to help with any need. Just for their splendid welcome, this place deserves to be chosen. We highly recommend Masseria del Ponte to anyone wanting to discover the wonders of Maiella, especially those traveling with their dog and looking for a beautiful, safe, and truly pet‑friendly spot.
