The building is pretty with a nice park, but the reception was impersonal, lacking interaction and friendliness. The listing was out of touch with reality, especially regarding services. The pool was poorly maintained, and the meals were overpriced for what they offered.

What a great stay! We loved so many aspects: the unique charm, the high‑quality bedding and linens, the beautiful grounds, the homemade dinners, not to mention the warm and excellent hospitality. These are just a few highlights of a truly wonderful, cozy, and refreshing experience we’d love to repeat someday. I recommend this place without hesitation!

The owners welcomed us warmly, and it truly felt like living in a castle: the interior is spacious and well‑maintained, with a library, tasteful décor, a garden, an adjacent forest, outbuildings, and a rich historical heritage. Fans of Proust who are interested in the baron de Charlus will also be delighted. The château is close to many other points of interest, including forest trails for hiking and tourist visits.

The setting is peaceful, the reception extremely friendly, and the food very tasty! There was no fridge in the room, so keeping something cool was a bit warm, but that was no problem because we could use the owners’ fridge.
