The host was very friendly, and when a typhoon hit the next day I had no transport, so the host helped me get to a shuttle transfer point; the place was quiet and clean, and the nearby FamilyMart made solo travel convenient.

We stayed in the 8‑bedroom suite, which was spacious enough for five of us to unpack without issue. The owners, a lovely couple, were incredibly kind. We booked because of a Hebe concert and thought we could walk from Jinan University, but it actually takes about 30 minutes up the hill; the owners kindly offered to drive us in and out. They even took us to buy breakfast and showed us the Dìmǔ Temple, and the weekend breakfast was plentiful—highly recommend.

The room was fairly clean overall, with separate mattress tubes and hotel pillows. The location was extremely remote, situated on a dangerous bend of a main road; the soundproofing was terrible, with neighboring guests' voices as clear as through a paper wall. Even on weekdays the nightly rate was 1450 with no breakfast, and the water cooler’s cold water was broken—you had to fill it with 100 % hot water and let it cool before drinking.
