Friendly staff checked us in early and the location is great, plus they offered a late‑night snack. The hallway smelled of cigarettes and the room was right next to the elevator on the fourth floor, which was a bit annoying.

The rooms were functional and typical of a city hotel. The breakfast area was cramped and a little uncomfortable, but the selection was generous and always restocked. The spot near Pudong‑Tower, the East Promenade, and the ferry to the old town was excellent. Our check‑in turned out to be unpleasant: the staff claimed they had no record of our reservation even though I showed them the confirmation. We had to rebook, and the family‑room option was gone, forcing us to book two double rooms at a higher rate. The conversation was so uncomfortable that we almost chose a different hotel. After we rebooked, we were told to cancel the original reservation, which suddenly appeared! Apparently the room type wasn’t available and they didn’t admit it or wanted to make more money. This was very unprofessional.

“Value for Money - Great Location - Easy Access to All the Shopping Needs”

The hotel sits right next to Nanjing Road, and from the lobby you can spot the Shanghai Tower, making it easy to reach all the malls and shops on foot. The staff don’t speak English, so we had to rely on Google Translate, but the breakfast area is smaller than at other Atour hotels.

“the stay was good if you stayed at the 2nd floor or above”

The amenities are the best I’ve seen so far. I booked three rooms; mine is on the 4th floor, which is good and odor‑free, but the other two rooms – one of which is my sibling’s on the 1st floor – have a bad smell.
