The dinner was delicious, and the staff stayed friendly throughout. I left early in the morning, so I missed the chance to thank them in person, which I regret. Next time I travel around Kurayoshi, I’d love to stop by again and take my time. Thank you. The bath reservation sheet was there, so I filled it out, but after dinner I headed to the bath only to find someone already inside, and I ended up waiting about 20 minutes. I wish I had stayed longer at the café instead, which was a bit disappointing.

“素泊まりには問題なし”

There are two parking spaces, a supermarket behind the building, a café in front of the station, and the room has a kitchen and a bath—everything you’d expect. However, there aren’t many restaurants nearby, the room’s lock is a padlock which might worry some guests, and the door can’t be locked while inside. The door gap lets hallway and other rooms’ sounds seep through, and the stairs are steep.

“シェアハウスとドミトリーとカフェが合体してる”

I could use the shared kitchen, toilet, shower, and washing machine without any problems, and there were maps to nearby restaurants and a public bath in the room. I had a morning at a nearby café, which is well‑known, so it would be better to go on a weekday. I received an email with instructions on how to unlock the entrance and a room description, plus a video, but because no staff were on site, I felt uneasy. It’s a dormitory, so that’s to be expected. The entrance was already open, so I just went in. The attached café was closed that day, but it seemed prepared, and I wasn’t sure whether I could approach the staff or not. Even though it was the same space, the lack of interaction felt awkward.

“Charming guest house in charming village”

Tami is a truly lovely place to stay. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The guest house is in a charming old Japanese house—wood and tatami throughout. My room was large, the kitchen was well‑equipped, and the bathroom was huge. Tami is located in a beautiful village next to Lake Togo, and there are many great cafés around the station. I will definitely stay here again.
